Sonic Sarwate is one of the most prominent names in the Indian fashion and makeup scene right about now. Born in Mumbai, Sonic had a passion for hairstyling and makeup since his early days. Sonic would often go the beauty parlors and salons with his mother and sisters just because he was so interested in learning the craft. Around the age of 15, Sonic once went to a salon with his mom, and later returned by learning the craft of hairstyling.
Since that day, Sonic’s mothers would never had to go to a beauty parlour for hair. Sonic became an expert at young age and would often do his mother and sister’s makeup. Soon after his school education, Sonic started taking fashion design courses. He then took up a job at UCB clothing stores, and because he had a great eye for fashion, Sonic impressed his customers a lot.
This is how Sonic started evolving into an exert stylist After his stint at UCB, Sonic joined a makeup school, initially he found it quite difficult to gel in with everyone else, but the head of the institute saw something special in Sonic. It was not long after that Sonic started working side by side, as he would do a lot of freelance work. Within the first three months of his makeup school stint, Sonic already got selected to work for a fashion week.
Later, it was in 2005 when Sonic’s life completely changed, when he joined the MAC team of designers. His hard work was deeply appreciated by everyone in the MAC team, he also did a lot of work in Bollywood movie awards and many other fashion shows too. Gradually Sarwate started a big name for himself and in 2010, he was named as the lead trainer for the West zone of MAC.
